He Helped Us Understand . . .“Brian helped my husband and I gain an understanding of an autistic mind's point of view which has helped us with our autistic son's success.”

- Heather Thornton Pratt (IL)

Here are the guidelines for interacting in the forum that will make sure you and everyone else always feel welcome there . . .

It's a privilege to have you here and we're all looking forward to your contribution. Let's agree on a few ground rules to help us get to know each other and support each other in our growth as human beings and members of this community.

1. The First Rule is the Golden Rule. We're all in this together and MUST give the very things we ask for in return.

2. Membership is a privilege and can be denied for abusive behavior such as name calling or other insults towards members of this community.

3. We are here to learn and grow together and the best way to do that is through open and supportive dialogue. This means we aren't about who's right and who's wrong. We're about providing information so we can make more informed decisions. We're here to share ideas, to provide each other the opportunity to expand the knowledge of our options that we may be empowered and see greater possibilities for ourselves and our children.

4. Share. We need to know where you're at in order to support you. I know some people are more shy than others and you are by no means expected to let it all hang out. The very minimum we ask is that you let us know what you like and don't like. That way we can give you more of what you want.

5. We'll expand this list as the community grows and our needs become clearer. Feel free to offer suggestions.
