Welcome to the SpectrumMentor Community

Take a deep breath before reading this page because it will ask a lot of you. How you respond to it will say a lot about you as well. Ready?

The Quality of your Relationships and of your Life is only as good as the Quality of your Communication.

Are You Alive? Then you're a leader. The question is, what direction are you headed? Also, what direction are you leading those that look up to you?

  • As a role model do you show others how to achieve magnificence or settle for mediocrity?

  • Do you teach others how to give up or how to get up?

  • Do you inspire others to reach their full potential or to play it safe?

The bottom line is that others can only follow your example so you MUST be conscious, deliberate and filled with purpose in the example you set.

Because in the end your children, your friends and your employees can succeed because of you or in spite of you

Do you want to reach your potential so you can lead the most important people in your life to the experience of their own greatness?

You're in luck, I can show you the way.

What Is Communication?

Communication is the strategies we use to share meaning with each other. That's why our lives have more meaning and our relationships feel more fulfilling when our communication improves.

Throughout this community you will find tools and strategies that teach you how to be an effective parent, employer and person by first being an effective human being. Being a Leader and living a life of Purpose requires you to hold yourself to a higher standard and realize that Life is Leadership.

Work at becoming the leader you must be to guide your life to the direction you were meant to go. If you want to know how good a leader you are, look at those who look to you now. You surround yourself with those who meet your personal standards. If you want more for yourself and from those around you, learn to ask more of yourself by getting the help you need to become what you and they need from you.

What Is Our Mission?

The Purpose of this Community is to provide a place where Parents, Educators, Employers and other Professionals can come together as one community.

Here we will collaborate to create the connection, understanding and partnership that is needed to make sure we all have the opportunity to make our contribution to society in spite of our challenges.

Though many of the resources on this site discuss the autism spectrum this site IS NOT about autism, it is about relationships, communication and confidence.

It's just that the influence of autism in my personal life has been the driving force that compelled me to understand relationships and communication on a deeper level. My efforts have resulted in strategies that have and will revolutionize how we think about relationships.

Message from Brian R. King . . .

You are about to embark on a journey of self-discovery that is as superficial or as deep as you want it to be. You can change a little or your whole world can change.

Depending on your level of investment in yourself, you will have access to some, most or all of the resources this Community has to offer.

Including 1 on 1 guidance from Brian.

This Community is a quintessential example of "you get out of it exactly what you put into it." Study the resources provided here for you, apply them, communicate and collaborate with other members of the community.

The most important thing to remember from this point forward is that like all communitites, this one is a collaboration between you, me and the other community members. The only way it can be it's best is when we give each other feedback.

Therefore, and most importantly, if something isn't working let us know ASAP so we can make it work.

How To Make The Most of This Community . . .

How To Succeed Here:

Let me start by saying what a pleasure it is to have you as a member of this community. You have made an incredibly important decision by investing in yourself in this way. Now this is how you and I will work together to make sure you always feel that way about being a member of this community. This is how we're going to do it.

There are a lot of FREE Resources here and a few programs that require a greater investment. So depending on your level of investment and commitment, I recommend that you commit to the following to get the best possible return.

1) Decide right now that you will use the Discussion Forum, Chat Room, Support Calls, Audio Library, Worksheets and Articles I provide you in such a way, that successfully solving the problems of your life is INEVITABLE.  Don't try it, give it your best shot or hope for the best. Work as though you will get the results you want.

2) In addition to that, make sure you ask me questions. If anything in any resource provided here isn't clear enough, ask me to clarify. Utilize the Forum and MasterMind Calls to get your questions answered. That is only one small way that I can support you in making your success INEVITABLE. When you and other members do this it also allows me the opportunity to improve the resources I provide you so they can be the best they can possibly be.

3) Failure is an illusion. Especially when you learn to work from the following belief - Let's figure out what doesn't work as soon as possible so we can discover what does work and do that.

That's a key belief of mine. Trial and Learning, then, more Trial and Learning.

Important FYI's:
  • Make sure you pace yourself when working through these resources, it's a marathon not a sprint. Our own eagerness and impatience can result in moving too fast, getting overwhelmed and feeling like a failure. So take your time.
Let's Get Started:

Now let's get to it so you can begin enjoying everything this community has to offer to help you create improvements in the Four Primary Relationships in your life:

1) With Yourself (Self-Awareness, Self-Confidence, Self-Respect, Self-Discipline, Self-Determination)

2) With Other People (Social Strategies, Employment Strategies)

3) With Your Environment (Sensory Issues, Sensory Overload, Managing public places, School and Work Environments)

4) With Your Affiliations (Those things bigger than yourself of which you are a part. An example is your community).
